In the books, Padma is a Ravenclaw but in the movies has consistently been portrayed as a Gryffindor. Also, Padma and Parvati are referred to as identical twins in the books while in the movies, they are portrayed as Fraternal twins.Padma, like Parvati is largely a side character seen in classes at Hogwarts and around the halls. She accompanies Ron Weasley as his date to the Yule Ball in The Goblet of Fire.Padma Patil is seen in the 4th-8th movies and is portrayed by Afshan Azad in all of them.
