Aberforth has a particular liking for goats, which is alluded to at points throughout the Harry Potter series. In the book version of The Deathly Hallows, Harry discovers why Albus and Aberforth were estranged as adults, and the terrible secrets of their family. Later in the story, the landlord of the Hogs Head pub in Hogsmeade shelters Harry, Ron and Hermione from death eaters, and they find out that he is in fact Aberforth. He turns out to be of vital help to Dumbledore's Army, using an as yet undiscovered secret passage from Hogsmeade to Hogwarts. ---
