She seems to be a sensitive woman, and careful with the child, but she is specially worried about Tom and his behavior, and how that affects to the other children. She also seems to be a drinking-hard person. She told Albus Dumbledore how Merope Gaunt arrived a night of the 31st December and gave birth to Tom Marvolo Riddle and later, she died. Tom was never visited and was a very different boy. She was very happy that Tom left the Orphanage, better for him and better for the children. She never imagined that serious boy will become the evil Lord Voldemort.
