Adam Thorwald was a former detective with the Baltimore Police department.When the virus hit and Amy Granderson took over the city, she offered Thorwald a position on her security detail. Thorwald knew what she was doing with her elite people at Avrocet and the rejects being killed at Olympia, and refused. Instead, he set up an underground city where the healthy found sanctuary from both the sick and Granderson's police force. He also formed his own militia, called the Warlords, to protect the underground and attack Granderson. This made him Granderson's sworn enemy. He joined forces with Cmdr. Chandler and the Nathan James crew to take down Granderson, Avrocet, and Olympia; he told Chandler that he knew it was only a matter of time before Granderson sent the police to clear out the underground people.When they raided Avrocet, Thorwald made Chandler promise that he, Thorwald, would be the one to kill Granderson. Chandler told him where Granderson's office was and Thorwald found her as she was about to escape. Unfortunately Thorwald was shot by one of Granderson's troopers before he could kill her. He was found by Chandler during a sweep and managed to stay alive long enough to tell Chandler that Granderson was headed for the roof to escape by helicopter, then he died. Show less «
