Ned Ramsey is the younger brother of Sean Ramsey, the self-proclaimed leader of the Immunes. He, like his brother, was a British Navy sailor aboard a submarine hen the virus killed the entire crew except for him and Sean.Ned is more impulsive and more of a risk-taker than Sean. He also doesn't fully agree with Sean's grand vision for a master race of Immunes. This leads to increasing friction between the two brothers, and Sean threatened to kill Ned for openly questioning his plans and suggesting they go back to England and start their lives over again, instead of staying in the U.S.Ned is a hothead who likes to fight and taunted the Nathan James crew when they came aboard the hospital ship Solace. He, like his brother, doesn't like his actions questioned and yelled at a soldier who suggested that they not engage the NJ crew because they were not ordered to do so. Ned also doesn't like people deferring to Sean's judgment instead of his. He likes to think that he is the only one who truly knows what his brother is thinking, even though Sean tends to keep a lot of his ideas from Ned. Ned tends to run once he's been outsmarted rather than stay and finish the fight he tends to start first. This was evident when he tried to blow up the Solace and realized that the bomb had been disarmed. He chose to jump into the sea (to get to the sub) rather than fight Chandler or be captured.Ned was shot by Tex when Tex was named by Niels as one if the NJ infiltrators of the Immune compound in Florida. It first appeared that Ned was dead, but it was later revealed that the bullet creased his cheek and removed part of his ear instead. Ned pointed out the futility of Sean's plans to his brother after the NJ crew rescued the President and took Niels prisoner. Show less «
