Dr. Hamada was the chief scientist at the Avrocet lab facility in Baltimore.Under direction of Amy Granderson, Hamada created a poison that would kill those who are sick and not selected to remain at Avrocet. This poison was administered to the sick people at Olympia under the guise of a treatment for the virus, and worked in a painless and quick manner. When Dr. Rachel Scott figured this out, Granderson had her held hostage in an attempt to make her teach the Avrocet lab how to make the cure.Hamada went aboard the NJ, which had been taken hostage by the Maryland State troopers on orders from Granderson, in an attempt to find the Primordial strain so that he could manufacture the cure himself. However, the Primordial had been smuggled out of the lab by Doc Rios, and hidden by Slattery and Dr. Tophet. Hamada discovered Lt. Kara Foster's pregnancy and had her brought back to Avrocet so that he could harvest the stem cells from her unborn fetus and use them to manufacture the cure.Hamada was killed by Foster when she stabbed him in the chest with a large syringe.
