Paul Lahote is a Quileute teenager who can shape-shift into a wolf. He was born in Tacoma, Washington and lived with his father in La Push after his parents divorced when he was 8 years old.He is most volatile member of the pack, with the most ferocious temper. He was angry at Jacob for telling Bella about the wolf pack, and Bella slapped him for laughing at her. He became so enraged that he phased into his wolf form. Bella ran and Jacob came running out of the house and phased into his wolf form and fought off Paul in the woods. Afterward, Paul apologizes to Bella at Emily's house.When Jacob's sister, Rachel graduated from college and returned to La Push, Paul imprinted on her. Billy and Jacob were not happy about having Paul as a future in-law - especially since he takes up most of the room on the couch, controls the TV, and eats their food. Thankfully, Paul learns to control his temper so he and Rachel can have a future together.
