Sons Of Anarchy - Season 7 Episode 02: Toil and Till
The seventh and final Season of Sons of Anarchy begins 10 days after the death of Gemma, leaving Jax heart-broken in jail and determined to find out the truth behind her passing. The club is behind Jax all the way and, as always, proving loyalty through many ups and downs. Gemma is fighting her own demons in coping with what she did and all is not 'on the level' with her. Jax';;;s oldest son is growing up... some might say a little too fast due to what he has to deal with and what he discovers.
"Toil and Till" is largely a table setting episode. Things happen that will have an impact down the road, but for now, the show is content to have them linger in the mind of the viewer.
It's becoming clear that the final season of Sons of Anarchy is going to see the complete destruction of any tiny bit of goodness Jax may have had left in him. The worst part is, it's all for nothing.
"Toil and Till" amplifies the theme of brutal retaliation to another level, piggybacking on the sporadic splashes of violence in last week's premiere to expand the battlefield across multiple California zip codes.
Sons of Anarchy's final season continued with an episode that revealed more of Jax's plans for revenge, which included a violent attack that in the end only served to drag him and the club further down a misguided path.
By far the best parts of this episode were a couple of brief, quiet scenes, where Jax lay alone in bed at his home and when he finally goes to see his children.
The second episode of the last Sons of Anarchy season didn't max out the potential body count. There's plenty of ammo left in the season and a name of every bullet.
