Sons Of Anarchy - Season 7 Episode 05: Some Strange Eruption
The seventh and final Season of Sons of Anarchy begins 10 days after the death of Gemma, leaving Jax heart-broken in jail and determined to find out the truth behind her passing. The club is behind Jax all the way and, as always, proving loyalty through many ups and downs. Gemma is fighting her own demons in coping with what she did and all is not 'on the level' with her. Jax';;;s oldest son is growing up... some might say a little too fast due to what he has to deal with and what he discovers.
Nero and Unser both found out about Jax's reasons for attacking Lin, which was a huge step forward in those storylines. Plus, that cliffhanger was pretty satisfying all by itself.
"Some Strange Eruption" delivers another effective episode heavy with meaningful conflict, drawing lines in the sand between characters whose motives were often murky to the point of confusion in years past.
I'm really enjoying Sheriff Jarry. She's doing her best to stem the violence by working within the system and not just the justice system but the outlaw one as well.
This episode does well in keeping our tensions rising and creating frustration as we wait for the truth to be revealed (much like the frustration we feel as Hamlet whines and dawdles).
Kurt Sutter throws a curveball and gives the guys a short breather between massacres. And you have marvel at what good use Althea and Chibs make of the time.
