Marty is a member of Jack Sparrow's crew. He was hired in Tortuga to help recover the Black Pearl from Hector Barbossa. He has a French accent, and nothing of his early life is known.The most notable characteristic Marty possesses is that he is, in fact, a dwarf. But what he lacks in stature he greatly makes up for in courage and strength. He is often seen wielding the largest weapons and defeating opponents immensly larger than himself (In Singapore, Marty incapacitated an enormous guard by simply using a shovel; also while in Singapore, Marty used an early version of a grenade launcher; the blast sent him flying back into the tunnel from whence he came.).
