Cotton is a lesser known character who is a memeber of Jack Sparrow's crew. He was chosen by Jack to sail under his command and to aid him in recovering the Black Pearl from Hector Barbossa.His most well-known trait is the fact that he is a mute; his tongue was cut out due to circumstances that are never explained. Because of this, he has a parrot that is trained to speak for him. It answers all given questions or commands in a somewhat cheeky and unique way.
