Eric revels in his vampireness, truly enjoying all the benefits of being undead, particularly the sexual ones. He has a sly sense of humor but is cool and detached.He is intrigued by Sookie when he meets her and enjoys tormenting her and meddling in her relationship with vampire Bill Compton, although he also asks for her help with something using her power to hear humans' thoughts.Background: Godric, an ancient vampire, is his maker and Eric remains extremely devoted to him. Godric is also maker to Nora Gainesborough, who is therefore Eric's vampire sister.Eric's human family had a high station in Sweden and has a history with 3,000 year old loose cannon vampire Russell Edgington.As a maker, he has control over his progeny, including Pam.
