Jason Street began his senior season (2006) as one of the most highly recruited quarterbacks in the country. He seemed to have chosen Notre Dame to continue his football career when he attempted to make a tackle during the first game of his senior season and suffered a spinal cord injury that would leave him paralyzed from the chest down. Jason had been the boyfriend of Lyla Garrity, the popular and bubbly cheerleader, but after coming to grips with his injury and realizing he'd never be healed, she left him in a particularly heartbreaking way.After a while, Jason is not content to simply roam the sidelines and begins to develop an interest in quad rugby.
