Darby is a casual racist, he will overlook skin color to make business deals when it suits him. He is more concerned with his own self-interest than the white power cause, as becomes more apparent in his dealings with Ethan Zobelle, the leader of the white separatist League of American Nationalists in season two. He has a sweet spot for Gemma, despite the fact she is half-Jewish. He completed a three year prison sentence in 2008.
