Dr. Steven Edwards is the only physician at Grady Memorial Hospital, which is run by Officer Dawn Lerner. He treats every patient that is deemed a good chance to survive, as to do otherwise would be a waste of carefully monitored resources.Edwards takes a liking to Beth when she awakens and finds herself in the hospital.She often follows him around once she is healed and assigned as a hospital ward, where she works off the resources that were used to heal her. Despite the orderliness of the hospital and its rooms, Edwards' room was messy; he tells Beth it's his way of rebelling against Dawn's strictness.Edwards tells Beth that he was with a group of people when the outbreak started, and tried to treat as many people as possible before they ran out of food and supplies. When he approached Grady in an effort to get supplies, he ran into Dawn who told him he could have what he needed in exchange for helping her.Edwards strains his relationship with Beth by using her, which he later says he did to try and save his own life. However, in an attempt to make amends, he tells Beth how to keep Carol alive and which medicine to get from the drug cabinet. He also wishes Beth luck.It is unknown what happens to Edwards after Rick and his group try to rescue Beth, and Beth's subsequent death. Show less «
