The Leftovers - Season 2 Episode 4: Orange Sticker
Based on the bestselling 2011 novel by Tom Perrotta, the series focuses on denizens of the fictional town of Mapleton, three years after the fateful October 14 day when 140 million people – 2% of the world’s population – disappeared without a trace. They must begin to rebuild their lives after the loss of more than 100 people.
Justin Theroux has done some terrific work throughout this series, but he's never had a better moment than telling Patti he doesn't want to kill himself.
The mystery continues to build, and the biggest seems to be whether or not there is a supernatural explanation for the goings on in Jarden. The evidence is certainly piling up.
This season, for the first time, we're starting to deal with the larger questions: Was there a celestial Hand at work in the Departure? Is there a Plan?
"Orange Sticker" ends with more questions than answers, making it increasingly impossible to watch the show as pure mystery, with hopes for some grand explanation to come. This, of course, is the best possible choice the show could make.
While this episode deals with a bunch of characters and bounces back and forth between Kevin, Nora, and Jill point of view-wise, it's a big one for Nora.
