In the third season, Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy hit the road in search of God, but the cowboys from hell did not leave them but tried to chase them everywhere. Jesse makes a risky deal with a cowboy killer and he's a strong race and danger.
Preacher - as it nears the end of the season - has hit its stride, and instead of looking forward to the introduction of more characters from Garth Ennis' source material, I find myself sad that we may be losing several in the finale.
Jesse continues to impress by getting out of an impossible situation. Just when you think things are hopeless, Jesse (and Tulip, for that matter) find a way to save themselves. They never cease to amaze.
The upside to all of this, I suppose, is that Jesse is now once again in full command of the Voice of God. This is a long overdue moment, one that's eluded Jesse the entire season.
