Eris is a Vorta from Kourill Prime in an area of the Gamma Quadrant under control of the Dominion.*spoiler*Eris displayed a telekinetic ability; she projected a ball of energy that knocked down Commander Sisko. Since no other Vorta ever exhibited such an ability, it's unknown if Eris actually possessed such power, or whether it was just part of the deceptive ruse of her overall story.Eris first claimed to be on the run from the Jem'Hadar, soldiers under orders from the Dominion and the Founders. She runs into Commander Sisko and Quark as she is captured, so all three are taken. They are imprisoned together but escape.Ultimately, Quark and Sisko deduce she is actually working with the Jem'Hadar to spy on the Deep Space Nine station. Although there are no other visible ships in the area, Eris is able to beam away when they confront her.
