A computer programmer for a private Los Angeles company, Chloe was hired to work for the Counter Terrorist Unit -- a human resources decision that has proven to be a boon for the office in particular and the United States of America in general. She is often paired with agent Jack Bauer, who is rather cold to the tech nerd at first, but soon forms with her a strong and productive working relationship.Chloe puts her knowledge of hacking to use in the midst of numerous terrorist plots against the nation, finding routes into other organizations' software, locating classified information, following suspects with satellite tracking, etc. She works well under pressure, though is it often clear that she is under pressure. To wit, Chloe's personality is generally brusque, impatient, brutally honest and somewhat critical. Her sharp-tongued statements are sometimes unintentional (for which she apologizes) and sometimes due to irritation at another coworker's arrogance or inability to deal with a tense situation. Overall, she might be described as socially awkward, though there is no one better at your side when the fate of presidents or citizens hangs in the balance.She has a highly developed sense of what is right and often risks her job or even criminal prosecution to do bend or the break the rules if she believes that the end justifies the means. She has more confidence in Jack's ability and judgment than almost anybody else at CTU, a loyalty that increases after her own skin is threatened.
