Arya Stark (Maisie Williams)Ayra is the younger daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark, who preside over Winterfell.Arya is a lovely girl but acts much more like a tomboy, preferring to engage in mock swordplay and exploring in the woods then learning needlework and other lady-like pursuits. She rejects the idea that she must one day put on a dress and potentially marry a man she does not love for political reasons of money and power.When Ned departs for King's Landing when he becomes Hand of the King to Robert Baratheon he takes Arya with him and she is allowed to continue her sharpen her sword and fighting skills. She practices with a sword called Needle given to her as a parting gift from half-brother Jon Snow, to whom she is close.Arya is small but athletic. She is whipsmart and quick on her feet often anticipating other people's actions. She is defiant of authority. Although she is advanced for her age she is not quite as more grown up as se thinks she is.Although she bickers with her siblings, especially the more lady-like Sansa, it is clear she loves them all and she especially admires her father.
