Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley)Catelyn is the eldest daughter of Lord Hoster and Lady Minisa Tully and the wife of Lord Ned Stark of Winterfell.She is the mother of Ned's five trueborn children Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran, and Rickon.Although Winterfell is in the north, Catelyn grew up in the south in the Riverlands.Catelyn was betrothed to Brandon Stark, Ned's older brother, when she was twelve. Brandon and his father were murdered by King Aerys II Targaryen, and so Catelyn married Ned instead during Robert's Rebellion, fulfilling her duty and securing the alliances between the two houses. Over time she and Ned came to love one another deeply.Catelyn is a loyal wife who loves and respects her husband, but she has a mind of her own.
