Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie)Brienne is the only child of Lord Selwyn of Tarth. She is very tall and muscular and was taunted all her life because of it. Instead of accepting society's roles, Brienne rejected the life of a lady of the court to become a warrior and knight, enduring even more abuse because of this choice. She is an excellent fighter, however, and has pledged her loyalty to Renly Baratheon.Perhaps because of the hard nature of her life, Brienne does not have much of a sense of humor and it is likely that she has never known the true love of a man.
