He often buys loyalty, favors, and double-crosses from those willing to be bought.He is the father of Jaime, Cersei, and Tyrion Lannister and he has raised them in his cold, calculating image. He loves his children Jaime and Cersei, but despises Tyrion and does not try to disguise his disdain. His disgust stems partly from the fact that Tyrion is deformed as a dwarf, but also because Tywin blames his son for causing his beloved wife Joanna's death during his birth.Regardless of whatever misdeeds they may commit, Tywin is fiercely protective of his children and his family name and will do what is necessary to protect both.Tywin has an innate intelligence as well as a sense of book smarts.
