Anne Glass is a pediatrician by training who becomes the de facto field doctor for the 2nd Massachusetts Militia Regiment. She takes Lourdes Delgado, an eager young woman who was pre-med before the attack, under her wing as her assistant. Anne's husband, Lee, and son, Sam, were killed in the initial invasion while she was safe at work at the hospital. She pours herself into her work as a doctor for the 2nd Mass, doing what she can to help the survivors cope both physically and emotionally with their situation. Beneath her sturdy exterior, Anne continues to be haunted by the death of her son.She is calm under pressure and resourceful, devising a way to remove harnesses from children who have had them implanted in their spines.She becomes an advocate for the civilians in the 2nd Mass., approaching Captain Weaver with her concerns to try to get them better living conditions when she feels the fighters are getting preferential treatment.Anne is warm, caring, and nurturing and tries to do her best to help everyone, improvising when she needs to.She and Tom Mason share the bond of having lost their spouses and become friendly and seem open to maybe developing that friendship into something more.Background: Has an Uncle Scott and Aunt Kate, who are members of the 2nd Mass. She is trained in art therapy and uses it to help some of the invasions youngest survivors process their feelings.
