Oceanic flight 815 from Sydney to Los Angeles crash lands on an island in the South Pacific, with 48 survivors facing uncertain hopes of rescue while getting to know one another. Forced to work together to survive, they come to realize it is no ordinary island.
Lost is easily the best show on television in at least a decade or so. If subsequent seasons hold up, it's probably even well on its way to being one of the best shows in television history.
Lost could be considered the TV version of a board game. There are compelling questions left at the end of each episode and vast amounts of room for interpretation.
Instead of enjoying some good old-fashioned spooky fun, we've got to wade through a load of narcissistic "look deep within" bumwash: whiny self-obsession masquerading as a spiritual quest.
