The bracelet he wore contained kryponite and the fall pushed it into his wrist. When the coroner inspected his body, he sprung to life, grabbing the coroner's hand--turning him to ash. This new found gift he decides to use for the elderly who are ready to die, starting with Mrs. Skies. Then he overhears about Whitney's father's condition and wants to help him. Clark confronts him, tell him that it is not his choice, and that his mother is still alive. He is taken to his mother and distraught. He rethat it was his pain that caused him to try to help heal others pain. He puts his hands together...and turns into ash.
