Eric Summers is the son of teacher, Mr. Summer. His father is the stereotypical father-teacher, who is harder on his own son more than other students.. He is known as the nerdy scholarship type, who can't get a date. He is standing on the ledge of a bridge with kryponite in his hand when lightning strikes and Clark goes to save him, giving Eric all of Clark's powers. He is overjoyed at first, bench-pressing 600 pounds it's nothing, and saving the day. But his parents become afraid of him and want to get him to some place to study him. Then he goes ballastic, using his powers to try to get the girl he wants and fighting other students. Clark uses Lana's necklace to get his powers back while Eric is sent to the hospital and later to Bell Reeve. There, the anger toward Clark is given time to grow. When Clark appears there to help Lex while he is there, Eric and a few others rally together to escape by stealing Clark's powers...
