He worked as an assistant editor on the Metropolis Daily Star under George Taylor before becoming editor of the Planet.In the DC Animated Universe, Perry White was the Editor in Chief of the Daily Planet. He was considered a friend to the staff of the newspaper, but usually had a somewhat gruff demeanor.In Smallville, Perry The Pit Bull White is the Editor-in-Chief for the Daily Planet.
