T.J. marries Liz Danes, sister of Luke, in the town square, in a Renaissance themed ceremony. He then builds a shelf for Luke, and fancies himself a contractor, even though he has never been able to pass the exam to be one. When Lorelai says that she will consider letting him remodel her house, T.J. goes right off to break a hole in the upstairs bedroom. Though he has terrible instincts, Lorelai agrees to let him be the contractor -- actually to THINK he is the contractor -- and then has to pay even more money to Tom to be the real contractor. T.J. eventually figures out that he is not the actual contractor, and gets upset and leaves the job behind. Then he and Liz do the Renaissance Fair circuit again. Liz and T.J. decide to buy a house in Stars Hollow, which does not make T.J. any more stable -- when he tries to fix their bathroom, he gets mad at it and destroys it far more than needs to be done, so has a long road to fixing the house. He and Liz eventually have a daughter, Doula.
