Sue is head coach of McKinley High School's nationally recognized cheerleaders, known as the Cheerios. She is snarky, braggadocios and will break any and all rules to see her team succeed. This includes going after any extra-curricular organization she believes poses a threat to the Cheerios' resources.Sue's hallmark is her sarcasm and cutting wit. Nobody is immune to her biting criticism, and members of New Directions end up being her favorite punching bags. But though she is can be as cruel as any character in Glee, we will occasionally get a window in a softer side. Sue is perhaps a far nicer person than she would ever let on.Sue's identity is centered around the remarkable success of her Cheerios. They have won multiple national titles and Sue was named Coach of the Decade by an industry publication. Sue has a deep connection to the obstacles facing the developmentally disabled community.
