Shota is the Witch-Woman of Agaeden Reach. She has the power to see glimpses into the future, and also change her shape, sometimes appearing as an old woman. On the TV series, she had a relationship with Zedd, but he left her becuse their offspring would be too powerful. Her primary agenda is her own self preservation, and aids Richard for that reason rather than any loyalty. She has a minion named Samuel. Samuel was a false Seeker and in the books was mutated by the power of the Sword of Truth into a form similar to that of Gollum from Lord of the Rings. On TV he is merely a scruffy thug.Shota survived into the alternate future, remaining a prisoner at the People's Palace even after it was devestated by Nicholas Rahl. She told Richard and Kara the Mord Sith what they needed to do in order to get back to their own time. She allowed herself to be Confessed in order to lure Nicholas into the plot. Show less «
