Ronan Dex is a Satedan soldier featured in the hit sci-fi series, Stargate Atlantis. He is first seen in the season two episode RUNNER , which was first aired on the 29th of July 2005. In this episode, the team investigate a planet whilst on the hunt for Aiden Ford, an ex-member of Sheppards team. But when Teyla is taken hostage by an unforseen stranger (Ronan), A trade is offered, Dr Carson Beckett takes out a Wraith tracking device in Ronan's back and Teyla would be free to go. Beckett does this, and Ronan ends up on Atlantis, and after a while Ronan and the Atlantis Expidition have gained each others trust, and Ronan has been a member of Sheppards team ever since. It is known that Ronan had a wife on Sateda, she died during the Satedan War (which began with the Satedans fighting back during a Wraith culling). On Atlantis, he has a crush on Dr Keller, Becketts replacement as head doctor.
