Julia Houston (Debra Messing)Julia Houston is an award-winning Broadway lyricist and book writer.Julia already has several successful show under her belt with her longtime musical partner Tom Levitt including Heaven on Earth, As You Like It, Ready Money, Temps, Hat Trick and Three on a Match. Julia and Tom are in the process of writing a new show about Marilyn Monroe called Bombshell. Julia is a beautiful, smart, vivacious, and funny woman. Although she thrives on the hectic pace of the theatre world she does also get stressed out.According to her Playbill credits Julia's work has been produced regionally and off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons, Roundabout, MCC, Second Stage and the Public. Julia has been honored with a Tony nomination, two Drama Desk Awards, two Obies, and an award for outstanding achievement in the arts from her alma mater, Brandeis University. Film and television credits include Diary of a Smart Girl, in development at Disney, and the musical drama pilot Stage Left at NBC.Julia lives in New York and is married to high school teacher Frank and they have one son, Leo. Julia and Frank are in the process of trying to adopt another child.
