Abby Brown isn't a major character. She is first introduced in the episode with the school shooting. Abby becomes locked in a class room with Nathan Scott, Haley James Scott, Skills, Rachel Gattina, Mouth McFadden and Marcus while Jimmy Edwards holds them hostage with a gun. However due to her diabetes, Jimmy let's her go.During this episode, Keith Scott, Nathan's uncle, is murdered by his brother Dan Scott. Dan is unaware that anybody was watching however as Abby was worried about the others locked in the class room with Jimmy, she returns. She hides in a class room and becomes the only witness to Keith's murder.She begins sending Dan messages to try and make him confess to the murder. During an episode, Haley James Scott, Nathan's wife, and Lucas Scott, Keith's nephew and Nathan's brother, are injured and Lucas is unconscious for a while. During this time he sees Keith who guides him and repeatedly tells him to open his eyes. Lucas then finally becomes aware of the fact that Abby has witnessed the murder and goes to see her.Abby's mother has kept her in the dark ever since the murder and has not allowed Abby to return to school. Her mother makes Abby pretend she's mad which means Lucas doesn't get the answer he wants. Dan starts to get nervous as he now knows that Lucas has found a witness to the murder. Dan goes to see Abby and her mother who are startled by his coming. When leaving, he leaves a child's doll on the table.Lucas begins dreaming of Abby and awakes to find her standing at the edge of his bed. She reveals the identity of Keith's killer but Abby is unable to go to the police. Instead she and her mother move out of town.The guilt becomes too much for Dan and he confesses all to the police after meeting and holding his new baby niece, Keith's daughter with Lucas's mother Karen Roe. He understands that he is the reason Karen's daughter, Lily Roe Scott, will never meet her father.
