She decided at age fourteen to pursue a career as both an actress and a model. Hay made her professional debut as "Cali Barbie" in an international TV commercial for Mattel. Amber then moved to Los Angeles, California to further realize her ambitions as a model. Hay has been featured in such publications as "Jetset," "Teen," "Details," "21," and "Playboy." Hay graced the cover of the premiere issue of "Girls Gone Wild" magazine. Among the clients she has done campaigns for are Seaton by Jill Roberts, Lacey Kahane, Water Goddess Swimwear, Pink Polka Dot by Sharise Neil, Benchwarmer Trading Cards, Pualani Swimwear, Asics Korea, Island Snow Hawaii, and Aqua Couture Swimwear.
