The series centers on Grace, a morally and emotionally-conflicted undercover detective, who is tormented by the possibility that her actions contributed to a tragedy. After Grace's son is murdered, she and Jimmy, the one she must bring down, discover they have a common purpose.
Over-boiled, over-violent, and overly abundant with sex scenes, Rogue is sure to click with hardcore cop-thriller fans who care less about plotting and characterization than the bang . . . bang . . . bang.
The disappointing part of Rogue is that DirecTV had exhibited some taste and desire to play in the big leagues via its acquisitions, only to fall back on a tired mob premise.
What distinguishes Rogue from a zillion or so other shows about undercover cops is Grace's alienation from her fellow officers and even her own family, all of whom think she's nuts.
