Andy Yu is one of Hollywood's fastest rising Asian actors who can be seen in the highly expected Fargo year 3 (FX, MGM) acting opposite the likes of Ewan McGregor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, David Thewlis, Carrie Coon and Michael Stuhlbarg, in the hit series masterfully written by Noah Hawley and his team.Andy's other recent work include recurring credits in Matt Damon and Ben Affleck-produced Syfy series, Incorporated, and AMC's award-winning historical drama Hell on Wheels. His other supporting work include credits on numerous hit shows such as Arrow (CW), Man Seeking Woman (FXX), Ransom (CBS, Global TV), Man in The High Castle (Amazon), Degrassi (Netflix), Bad Blood (FX, City) and iZombie (CW).Born in Hong Kong, Andy was raised with an authentic Cantonese mother-tongue. With his natural knack for mimicking dialects, Andy acquired fluency in Mandarin and English, the later of which he attributed to a decade of binging his favorite American classic TV series, The Simpsons. His proficiency and deep understanding in all three languages allowed him to find success as a professional Chinese dialect coach and script translator on multiple hit network shows. His proudest work thus far has been on the entire season 5 of Hell on Wheels, AMC's historical drama on the construction of the transcontinental railroad between 1867-1869, which garnered him golden testimonials from John Wirth (showrunner), Jami O'Brien (writer/producer), Anson Mount (series lead) and various cast members.
