The fourth season completes more surprises as God maneuvers chess pieces at the end of the world. Now, the end of the world seems to be the closest to the end of the game, while Jesse is looking for a rock formation that might change course. Now, Jesse's research will be the last leg of his journey. In the meantime, Tulip will generate a new effort to deal with things and save Cassidy from torture.
Hair brained, infinitely inventive and unsullied by such things as logic Preacher has scorched a trail for four years, kicking open numerous doors in the process.
At its best, Preacher is angry and funny and sincere and unexpectedly sweet. At its worst, it's smug and nowhere near as clever as it thinks it is. My problem is, the worst is drowning out the best by a substantial margin.
[A]lthough we haven't given up on Preacher altogether, there's a distinct feeling that we're not nearly as excited to see the show's conclusion as we were when the season began.
