Season 2 opens with Claire returning to her own time and reconciling her future with the life she left behind. Shifting back to the 18th century, Jamie, Claire and Murtagh arrive in France, but learn that Paris presents its own challenges.
I am VERY pleased to announce that we are now in Scotland circa 1968, because that means we're with Claire as well as Brianna and Roger, both of whom finally believe her whole deal.
I know some people didn't warm to Sophie Skelton in Outlander Season 2, but I find myself liking her more and more (awkward attempt at an American accent notwithstanding).
The bond that still exists between them (Claire & Jamie) without being in each other's physical presence is powerful, and the story is still turning in moving, exciting character drama.
Despite the different eras, at this point in the narrative it's clear that both Jamie and Claire still hold that torch for each other, but that they're also feeling the impossibility and weight of their separation.
