As much an unapologetic appreciation for romanticism of masculinity as an examination of its constraints, its male characters attuned to their emotions and senses while also limited in their expression by the societal mores and expectations of the day.
In some ways, it is a relief that Frank is out of the picture... I cannot help but wonder how much more nuanced and textured this show's storytelling would be if the writers didn't always take the easy way out.
