In the new season, the runaway escapes a trap to save their missing friends from Greece. The task seems to be dangerous, especially when Karolina, Chase and Janet plan their escape from the algorithm. During that time in the rest of the world, the rest of the Runaways team team up to fight Jonah and get them out of there though it might be difficult.
Season 3 of Runaways is everything that makes the show great, turned up to 11. The result is quite often moving and generally a lot of fun, but will nevertheless leave viewers with a bittersweet taste in their mouths.
It's as though Runaways knows it should be a show about the instability and intensity of being a teenager, but lacks the courage to engage with those stakes.
Runaways has been at its best, and remains at its best, when it's able to slow down and fully explore the intersection of teen drama and superhero show.
