Daimon and Ana Helstrom are the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer. The siblings have a complicated dynamic as they track down the terrorizing worst of humanity - each with their attitude and skills.
Helstrom is worth the watch and while it does not have the immediacy of something like The Boys, it's a worthwhile story for those missing their Marvel injections this year.
Given that Helstrom is already the last piece of a TV administration Marvel has moved away from, nothing here is good enough to make an investment in. Check out CBS' actually clever, actually scary Evil instead.
Helstrom is as generic as any other serial killer TV series. Everyone involved puts in a solid effort to make this a worthwhile watch, but it isn't scary enough and it isn't unique enough to commit ten hours of your life to.
