Zachary S. Williams is an actor, singer and musician. In 2016 he can be seen as a recurring co-star in a large supporting role on the new OWN drama "Greenleaf." The show tells the story of the Greenleaf family and the secrets, lies and corrupt morals their Memphis megachurch is built on. Zachary plays the role of William, a youth raised in a dysfunctional home who finds solace in playing the piano and is mentored by a local bar owner named Mavis, played by Oprah Winfrey.Born in Miami, Florida, Zachary was a quiet and shy child. At the age of four, he began playing the piano and spent years being classically trained. Inspired by his mother's modeling career coupled with his passion for music, Zachary joined a performing arts summer program where he discovered his love of theater. From there his career was launched as he went on to book various print jobs and a slew of commercials which included Disney, Busch Gardens and Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter. During his middle school years, Zachary continued to embrace the arts. He joined his school's jazz and concert bands and began playing the alto saxophone while also starring in productions of "The Nutcracker" and "Annie." He also joined the Orlando Repertory Theater where he starred in "The Outrageous Adventures of Robinson Crusoe." His other theater credits include "The Secret in the Wings, Charlotte's Web" and "Dracula." Zachary also co-hosts a local Tampa, Florida TV show "Rays Rookies;" a show designed to engage youth fans of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team. All the while, Zachary remained in school full time enrolled in rigorous Honor and Advanced Placement classes maintaining a 4.0 GPA. His academic achievements resulted into him being inducted into the National Honor Society. When not acting or studying, Zachary can often be found at home with his parents and two younger brothers Deon, 7, and Dylan, 5, watching movies, television and musical theater. He continues to learn about his craft and is inspired by watching the performances of some of his favorite actors which include Samuel L. Jackson, Idris Elba, and Denzel Washington. One of Zachary's future goals is to work with community organizations that provide children with opportunities to showcase their talents and get them excited about the arts.
