Dr. Ken is an American sitcom created, written, and co-executive produced by its lead actor, Ken Jeong, who based the concept on his experience as a doctor prior to becoming a standup comedian. A frustrated doctor juggles his career, marriage, and family. The series chronicles the daily life of a brilliant physician who tries to balance his career with his family life, which can be difficult on both fronts, especially with having a therapist for a wife.

The Straits Times (Singapore)
The show is largely unremarkable. Its only ambition appears to be cramming as many tropes as it can into 20-odd minutes in each episode: the clueless dad who keeps messing up, his sensible and long-suffering wife and their precocious, wise-cracking kids.

"I know that there are some disturbing and repetitive shows out there," a cardboard cutout of a side character mentions in Dr. Ken's inexorably humorless pilot. Oh, you have no idea.

Las Vegas Weekly
For an actor who knows how to make the most out of small parts, Jeong manages to thoroughly squander his chance at a starring role.
