Teddy Montgomery is most notably known as the one who replaced season one's Ethan Ward in season two. He is the son of a very wealthy and famous actor and spends most of his time playing tennis. Teddy could be compared to Steve Sanders from the original 1990s series Beverly Hills, 90210. They both have very famous parents and have trouble dealing with that fact, along with both being womanizers who are full of themselves (though it is later revealed Teddy acts that way to hide the fact that his is gay). Season 5 ----------------------------------------------------------SEASON 2 He is part of the cause for Dixon Wilson and Erin Silvers arguing and then breaking up, after revealing Silver texted Ethan. It is also revealed that Teddy had a romantic past with Adrianna Tate-Duncan during several previous summers at an acting camp. It eventually soils Adriana's current relationship with Navid Shirazi early on into season 2. Teddy is helping the police because he is the one who found the dead body of the man that Annie supposedly ran over the previous season. Teddy has problems with his father because he is so controlling and basically wants to run his entire life. To make things worse, when Teddy starts dating Erin Silver, his father constantly tells him to dump her. However, after bonding with Silver over both losing their mothers to cancer, they begin a very serious loving relationship. So Teddy stands up to his father and tells him he loves Silver and will not break up with her. By the close of season 2, Teddy and Silver are happily together.SEASON 3 In the season premiere an earthquake strikes West Bev High and leaves Teddy with a leg injury, leaving his tennis career on the sidelines. He soon begins showing disinterest with Silver and has a complete attitude change. He begins drinking heavily and getting very out of control. Silver confronts him about it, but he blows her off and she decides he is not worth it and leaves him be. Silver pretty much breaks things off with him. Teddy eventually hooks up with someone during his drunken stupor, but has trouble remembering who. Later, Silver talks Teddy into helping out with a charity auction for cancer, in honor of her late mother. Teddy lashes out at Ian (Kyle Riabko), the openly gay student at West Bev while he is trying to teach the guys a dance number. Later, Teddy gets into a physical altercation with Ian and they are both are given detention. It is revealed the person Teddy hooked up with was indeed Ian. They are forced to do manual labor as a punishment and actually bond a bit. But Teddy, nowhere near ready to accept his sexuality or come out, keeps his distance. The distance did not last long, Teddy got very drunk and scared his friends off when he drove drunk with them in the car. Teddy ended up by himself at a gay bar, but forgot his wallet and had to call Ian for help. They end up having a secret relationship for a while. At Adriannas Christmas party, Teddy and Ian sneak off to a back stairwell to make out. Dixon walks by and witnesses the two kissing. A confused Dixon later confronts Teddy, who plays it off to not knowing what he was saying. Teddy eventually gives in and admits he is gay to Dixon and begs him not to tell anyone. Dixon agrees and they leave it at that.After winter vacation, Ian and Silver began to talk about their vacations. When Silver asks Teddy where he went, he coincidentally says he stayed at the same ski resort Ian was at. When Silver asked if he saw Ian there, Teddy became very nervous and told her he had to go. She began putting the pieces together and realized he was gay. Silver tells Teddy she figured it out and shares a very touching heart-to-heart with him. Trouble strikes when Teddy starts being blackmailed with pictures of him and Ian kissing. Ian encourages Teddy to come out to his friends, which he eventually decides to do. The girls were all welcoming and the guys were confused. Later on, Teddy finds out Ian was the one blackmailing him to get him to come out. Teddy breaks up with Ian immediately. Teddy has to face some pretty harsh treatment at school now that he is out and is getting teased. Silver and he became close friends and she helps him through everything. She even yells at Teddy's straight guy friends to stop excluding him from things. Which they were because they didn't think he wanted to watch a woman's volleyball game. The guys then take Teddy to a gay club and Liam and Teddy find it too much. They leave and begin to talk and Teddy explains he doesn't care where they go, as long as they can hang out as friends.Teddy meets Marco Salazar (Freddie Smith), an openly gay soccer player at West Bev, and they flirt, Marco gives Teddy his number. Before anything, the group is in Cancun, Mexico living up their last high school spring break. Teddy runs into his former classmate, Tripp (Alan Ritchson), from the private school. He struggles at first, but Teddy decides to tell Tripp that he is gay. Tripp then begins making out with him, which leads to them sleeping together at Teddy's hotel room. Teddy, thinking him and Tripp could have something, finds out Tripp is in an open relationship with another guy. Back from Cancun, Teddy decides to give a relationship a go with Marco, after Marco says hes not in it just for hook-ups. They end up going to Senior Prom together and have a great time. They end the season with them both graduated and having fun with friends.----------------------------------------------------------Season 4 Over the summer, Teddy broke things off with Marco. He decides to finally tell his father that he is gay, but does it via voicemail. Teddy leaves town for a tennis tournament in Barcelona, and eventually comes back to deal with his family after it ends. His father has not contacted him at all, despite Teddy calling several times. His aunt and uncle, Charles (Robin Thomas), are the only ones willing to give him a chance. Teddy bumps into the man he had a fling with during his stay in Barcelona, Shane (Ryan Rottman), who is helping a politician who is running for congress. To make things worse, the politician is running against Teddy's uncle, and Shane despises him because of his anti-gay rights. Teddy decides to support his uncles campaign, because he is the only family willing to give him a chance since coming out.Teddy and Shane later make up and decide to give their relationship a try. The gang decided to head to Las Vegas for a wild weekend. Silver decided to help Teddy feel more comfortable with his sexuality by arranging a mock-wedding for him and Shane at a chapel. Unfortunately footage shot by Silver was accidentally sent to the politician running against Teddy's uncle and was leaked to the media. Teddy's sexuality was revealed to everyone and it caused his uncle the election, which in-turn made Teddy's remaining family members mad at him. After realizing the leak was caused by her, Silver confessed to Teddy, but he could not forgive her. Not wanting to deal with any of the media craze, Teddy took a position as a tennis coach in London. However, Teddy realizes he cannot just run away from his problems. Shane invites Teddy to go with him to Washington D.C., and Teddy gladly accepts. After a few sad and torn goodbyes to the friends Teddy had made over the past three years, he takes off into the sunset with Shane.Months later, Teddy returns to hear about Silver having the gene for cervical cancer. Silver confesses that since finding out, she only has a small window to conceive a child and would like Teddy to be the father since they are so close. Teddy does not give an answer just yet, so the question will linger until the next season.----------------------------------------------------------Season 5 Shortly after Silver asked Teddy to have a baby with him, Teddy is still making up his mind. He eventually decides he wants to go through with it and goes to the fertility clinic to donate his sperm because he has to leave for D.C. the next day. After thinking about it more, Teddy returns to confess he had a change of heart and will only sign the paternal contract if Silver agrees to share custody of the child with him. Silver did not plan on having Teddy in her or her child's life to that extent. Teddy's uncle threatens to have the embryos destroyed while Teddy's boyfriend, Shane, threatens to sue Silver if she goes through with it. Silver forges Teddy's signature which ends their friendship, though they decide a surrogate, Michaela, will carry the child through counseling.Four months after the falling out with Silver, Teddy returns to try and talk with Silver. However, Michaela has gone missing and Silver enlists Teddy and Dixon to help find her. When they finally find Michaela, she tells them the reason she ran off was because she discovered she had a miscarriage after a doctors appointment and was afraid to tell Silver. This causes Silver to breakdown and got off to a quiet spot on the beach. Teddy follows after her and apologizes for not signing the papers in the first place, telling her she would have been a great mother. He sits with her, hugging her, and asking if there is any way they can fix their friendship. Silver is unsure, but tells Teddy he's the only person she wants holding her at that moment. Show less «
