Annabeth Nass is member of the unofficial and official elite of bucolic Bluebell, Alabama. Her best friend is Lemon Breeland, the quintessential Southern belle, but Annabeth is pretty darn close herself to being the town's most respected and envied lady.She is a member of the town Belles, in fact, a group charged with maintaining the history and heritage of Bluebell -- a job that she and her friends take very seriously. Annabeth is initially standoffish to Zoe Hart, the New York surgeon who arrives suddenly in Bluebell to shake up the culture, but eventually forms a close bond with the big city woman.Annabeth has been somewhat unlucky in love. Her first (ex) husband was a disaster and now she finds herself embroiled in much relationship drama with a number men who themselves are embroiled in much relationship with a number of women -- some of whom are Annabeth's friends. It's all very complicated.She is a good cook.
