Rodney Eugene Thompson Jr. was born on February 9, 1987 in Mobile, Alabama. Rodney attended the University of South Alabama and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a minor in International Business in 2011. During his undergraduate studies, he worked for the college periodical , the Vanguard. It was during this period that he was also one of the founding disc jockeys for Jag Radio under the handle, Major Rod. In October of 2011, he moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Rodney's first acting role came in the form of the male lead in the music video "Dejame Ir" for the band Around Midnight. He went on to perform in various miscellaneous roles for popular shows such as Dexter, Friends with Better Lives, and Super Fun Night. His first feature film appearance occurred in Clint Eastwood's "Jersey Boys." Rodney went on to obtain a Master in Fine Arts for Creative Writing concentrated on Screenwriting for Film and Television.
