Raised in Santo Domingo and on the south side of Chicago at the same time, actor/director Ramses Jimenez was first introduced to film at Columbia College Chicago where he majored in Film Directing. Jimenez began his artistic career as an actor quite unexpectedly after an interview for an on-set gaffing position took a surprise turn when the director of the film convinced him to audition for the lead role in the independent film "Chicago Boricua". The film launched his career as an actor, starring in three independent films, three studio films (Lets Go to Prison, Batman: Dark Knight, Nothing Like the Holidays) and various TV appearances such as Law and Order, CSI, CSI Miami, In Plain Sight, Supah Ninjas, and Prime Suspects. As fate would have it acting would provide the means for Ramses to continue his passion of directing. After producing and directing various independent shorts and music videos, he traveled to Dominican Republic working with One Race films on Bandoleros for the Fast and Furious franchise as production supervisor. Shortly after, one of the shows he co-created along with the Saldaña sisters and Jeff Watkins got picked up by AOL for 10 episodes. During this time Ramses was in Dominican Republic writing and directing his feature film Isolated Victim.Balancing all phases of entertainment takes its toll. Bob Teitel once told him, "he couldn't do both at the same time". Ramses acknowledges he was right, but that didn't mean he couldn't do it separately.Jimenez is a bilingual director/actor/writer/producer/editor that has carved his own way with the help of many and most importantly God.
