Khalid Rivera approached show business as a precocious performer. He appeared in the Broadway shows, The Capeman (produced by Paul Simon) and Juan Darien (directed by Julie Taymor). He attended the Professional Performing Arts School where he performed in Duke Ellington's 100th Birthday Celebration at Carnegie Hall and was a part of the Broadway Kids group. He has done several tours, television, festival/club appearances and featured in several magazines/websites worldwide. His favorite moment was singing the National Anthem in Madison Square Garden for the WNBA's, NY Liberty. He also starred in the indie feature films, Poultrygeist and D 4 Delivery. They have been shown in numerous film festivals worldwide including Cannes Film Festival and are available on Hulu, Netflix, etc.In 2007 Khalid ventured into music. His first two singles, Every Nite and Salvation, from his self titled debut album, played in numerous clubs and radio stations worldwide. His stage work has heavily informed his showy, theatrical, magnetic video performances and is no stranger to the music video market. Salvation made the #1 spot on LOGO's, The Click list video countdown. It was also the #9 video of 2009 on LOGO. The viewers also loved the soulful, Every Nite. The video was #1 for 3 weeks LOGO, BPM TV Canada and made LOGO's, Top 10 Video Of The Year countdown two years in a row.Khalid decided to self release his pulsating single, Who Do U Love. It bends the rules of gravity to find one heart's desire with the relentless beats, whistling synthesizers, and throbbing, insistent bass. It was added on several music video networks, record pools and radio stations worldwide. It made the top 20 Masspool's, Dance / Crossover / Top 40 / Underground Breakouts chart, in May 2010. It charted at #31 on the One Nation Under A Groove: Mix Show Top 100 Traxx! It was #9 video of 2010 on LOGO as well. Who Do U Love also made it on the top 10 finalists: 2011 USA Songwriting Competition, for best Dance/Electronica song. Exclusive remixes were done by the world famous DJ Gustavo Scorpio, Klubjumpers, DJ Greek & DJ Zilos and the late Aaron Carl.With the success of Who Do U Love, Khalid signed with Music Plant Group and released Enough Is Enough. It charted on several music charts worldwide. Most notably, #1 in the North East Dance music chart and #10 on the King Of Spins chart. He was nominated for Best Dance Artist in the Indie Music Channel Awards. His music has charted in the top 20 or higher on several music charts worldwide including King Of Spins, North East Dance Chart, Reverbnation, and Masspool.In 2012, Khalid went back into Film and TV. He's since booked co-starring roles in several shows, lead/supporting roles in films, and has two films coming out soon.
