Kimmy Schmidt and three other women are kidnapped and have to live in an underground bunker for 15 years. After being rescued, she moves to New York to start a fresh new and normal life. She makes new friend and work as a babysister to earn a living. Although many obstacles are thrown her way, Kimmy tries her best to live in a new world around her.
In case you couldn't tell, this is a comedy. And it's a good one, warm and charming, genuinely funny, and also odd enough to come from Tina Fey and writing partner Robert Carlock, late of 30 Rock.
There never was any doubt that Ellie Kemper could anchor her own comedy series. She's all lightness, charm, vitality and teeth -- big bright ones that have a character all their own.
it's terrific: a comedy so funny and silly and brimming with unexpected jokes that after an episode and a half, I stopped taking notes altogether because I wanted nothing to distract me from the experience of it.
